Monthly report — tn, 2026-07

One month's fragment, exactly as _global:monthly-report wrote it. The assembled document lives at Country OS — Tunisia.

In one line

Tunisia ran its first full SEO audit-and-fix cycle to completion — two pull requests merged — and a business review that pinned the STEG outage crisis as the top content opportunity.

Shipped

  • SEO fixes, round 1 — PR #8895, human-approved and merged on 2 July. Trimmed over-long meta descriptions to ≤160 characters, added breadcrumb structured data to the directory templates (≈286 generated pages) and to the gas-tariffs page, wove internal links into thin pages, and shortened outlier titles.
  • SEO fixes, round 2 — PR #12649, opened 27 July and merged on 4 August (i.e. in the following month). Added the two missing sitemap generators for the 374 power-outage pages, rewrote their title/description templates so every generated page fits length guidelines, added Organization/WebSite structured data to the homepage, and fixed two remaining long titles.
  • SEO audits — 4 read-only audit passes produced the baseline reports and, on 27 July, expanded coverage to the 374 /coupures outage pages (a feature that had shipped in June without any prior audit), where they found the two systemic gaps that round 2 then fixed.
  • Business review (15 July) — flagged an unfolding national electricity outage / load-shedding crisis (heatwave-driven demand peak) as the year's peak search moment and the number-one editorial opportunity for the STEG outage page.

In progress / waiting on a human

  • Google Search Console is still not configured for this site, so no traffic figures are available — a recurring blocker flagged again this month, with no numbers invented in its place.
  • Several items keep surfacing across audits with no owner task yet: site-wide social-share images, FAQ accordions on five STEG sub-pages, and a routing pattern that disables platform-wide route caching (flagged four times now).
  • The solar/smart-meter figures the business review surfaced come from secondary sources and must be reconfirmed on steg.com.tn before any editorial use.

Problems

  • The ledger records 1 errored run out of the 4 audit runs; it did not block the month's work, which completed both fix PRs.

Cost

8 runs (4 SEO audits, 3 SEO fixes, 1 business review), 1 error, ~$15 API-equivalent.
